Painting: One More For The Road

The year is almost over. Only a day or so to go now.

Today I finished varnishing this painting that I’ve been meaning to varnish for months now. It’s a painting of an antique whiskey bottle, the kind you might find dug out of a hillside, and just enough whiskey to make one more drink. That’s kind of how this year has felt for me; when I’ve been used up and depleted I’ve had to keep squeezing blood from a stone…and get one more out of me.

Here’s to hopefully a happy and healthy 2026 for me and my family and anyone who may come across this.

Happy New Year.
